Tip Leads to Arrest
In August the Cedar Falls Police Department and Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers asked for the public’s help reference an alleged theft. Thanks to numerous tips the female was identified as Velvet Jane Widner DOB 8-2-01. On 10-16-23 Widner was charged with Theft in the 5th Degree.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent.
